A “PARISH” AT LARGE

WHOLLY AFFIRMATION PARISH
Nondenominational All Affirming
& Inclusive Community at Large–including YOU!

Sometimes people ask from which parish am I.  I used to explain that I’m not from any one of the local familiar parishes.  Perhaps I might more appropriately say, “I’m an Elder of Wholly Affirmation parish.”  The “wholly” part is, of course, all or completely inclusive.  The “holy” part is sacred with respect to genuine love–that does not mean “religious” in a denominational sense,  nor does it exclude “religious” if that’s a part of you.

Then one may wonder who belongs to this “Wholly Affirmation” parish.  In reality, it is not a building, nor is it an exclusive group.  It is an open “community” (if you will) that includes anyone and everyone who desires affirmation in a genuinely loving, respecting, and accepting way–no matter who you are, whom you love, what you fear, what you’ve done, where you’ve been, or what you believe or don’t believe.  To “belong” all you need is an interest in genuine love–unconditional and affirming enough to encourage you to do “good” to yourself and to others.  In the course of experiencing unconditional love, I do believe we can overcome the judgment of others, the judging of others, and can discover how to be loving and forgiving in all of our relationships, and more likely to ultimately feel more genuinely loved as well.

If you aren’t familiar with genuine love, and perhaps most people are not, since most people seek “imitation love” throughout their lives, you might pick up a recommended reading, Real Love, by Greg Baer, M.D. –a book from which I believe everyone could benefit greatly.  When you learn the difference between what he calls “imitation love” (conditional), and “real love” (unconditional), you will be better equipped to  experience a dramatically pleasant change in your life.

Encouraging you to BE LOVING–

An Elder*,

Ron

*Elder as in "older" person open to sharing wisdom learned and wisdom to be learned from others.
